Crystal Bada is a piece where I envision the sea as it moves while the sun rays become transparent among all the hues and crystal forms created. I visualized an impression of movement and rhythm through color and form. When I finished with the piece I created, I felt the flow of the waves and the interlacing of the colors and shapes become a lively abstract. I used colored pencils and toned tan paper to be part of the finished piece allowing the natural fibers to add texture and character.

I focused on complementary colors from hues of blue and orange with touches of white and purple accents to create depth and perspective throughout the piece. Crystal Bada has interactions of a bright day at the beach where sea, land, and sky meet to evoke a natural sense of sunlight placed in a room or space where it pervades. It is part of the Areumdaun Collection. Crystal Bada is one of ten pieces that are all created on the same media. The Areumdaun Collection is abstract in form but has various subjects as concepts.
Crystal Bada shows renewing movement as the sea forms shapes, touches the shore, and retracts into another form as it returns. My desire is that it will bring a new synergy into a space. While listening to the piece, it carries the calm and seeps through dynamic movements referencing the beach, soaking in the sun, and admiring the natural landscape.
